2012 Schedule
I am just wondering if the 2012 schedule posted on CBS is the schedule we will be using next season, or if it is just a default schedule? And if it is a default schedule, what is the time frame for the real 2012 schedule, if any? Thanks in advance guys.

Re: 2012 Schedule
Which is why I'm asking. The schedule on CBS is wack, for example according to the CBS schedule I play more Eastern teams than Western teams.shooker wroteCOLONDon't we always make some sort of schedual ourselves? so we play our own division x amount of times yada yada yada?

Can't put all the blame on Betman here. The NHLPA has yet to submit a full proposal, seems super weak to me this close to the deadline....hong57 wroteCOLONThe schedule may be something like this thanks to Betman..

Re: 2012 Schedule
Yep, Fehr has done the same thing he's done in the past - lots of media in players favour, and nice sound bites as if he's the reasonable one. NHL owners are holding the short stick, asking for it to move to the middle and getting shit on for it. His baseball model he's mentioning now is full of shit, the sport is so far from balanced, competitive and healthy any argument that starts with that should be laughed at.
And to be clear, i fucking hate both sides for holding the fans hostage. Everyone involved is rolling around in money, bentley's and hot blondes, yet they still find time to act like prima madona's.
-50/50 spilt is a basis for a healthy relationship moving forward, both sides share future growth equally. From here there is lots of negotiation points:
-cap and floor are set as percentages with a wider margins
-included in these margins are a soft ceiling & floor, after-which there is a luxury tax. the lower ceiling is only allowed to dropped beneath in dire economic need, and by them trading away that cap space (this also protects the players and rectifies competitiveness).
- Fix profit sharing -> no cap and no scale on profit sharing. Don't encourage teams to not make money, as the current system does.
- limit player contracts to 4/5/6 years - perhaps a special case franchise player title as in the NFL
The players will bitch about going down to 50%, but that doesn't include the costs of running these teams, nor does it incur the coaching staff, I know there are some in the NHLPA that will argue revenue doesn't include everything, however that's yet to be accurately articulated to me, but if true, get that added into revenue.

Fuck the players and their union.
Everyone should have known things were going to be bad once Fehr was brought on. The guys the lockout king.
