Android Tablet upgrades????

Ok, so i got a Lenovo K1. It has Android 3 i think or Honeycomb on it. IBM put out an update for Ice Cream Sandwich. Has anybody done this on phone or tablet yet? Any problems. Just like to know if it is worth doing the update.

I work at a company that deals with every android device out there - we test apps from EA, Namco etc. every day. Ice Cream Sandwich is definitely an upgrade on Honeycomb and you should definitely do it. You'll also unlock a bunch of features like a better/faster browser + face unlock + a few other things.

Good to know Shiv, thx. I plan on doing it on tablet and waiting for Samsung G2 LTE HD update from Bell due out this month.

Im doing update but i have been stuck on this screen for at least 30 mins. should i still wait?

Weird. Never seen that long a wait before. You're flashing the new ROM correct?

Its fucked...It said to use old one first then if a problem occurred reboot and use new. Now it just sits in recovery mode....nothing. When i double click to run flash bat files it does nothing. I am using win 7 pc. what a fucking pissoff. this fucker better not be bricked.

It sounds like a bad flash. I'm pretty sure the process is to re-do a manual wipe and then re-flash.

That is so weird. Never seen that before...I'll check with our developers tomorrow and try to give you a solution.

thx Shiv. I seem to think there is an issue with the APX drivers and Windows 7. I am trying to find a stock Lenovo Honeycomb image just in case.

I got er. what a nightmare.....up and running
