How are you trading all of these pieces that you don't have? What happens if you fail to get it?

I just think it is a very dangerous trend to begin ... trade for the other pieces first and then make the deals??

future considerations have been used in bbkl and the nhl. and this is simply a case of the draft ongoing right now and me not losing the pick to someone else. arian was fine with it because he needed to unload the pick anyways.

and as far as the dangerous trend is concerned there are two factors here:

1) if arian was concerned i would not send him the 7th in 2011/2012 he could easily have asked for a condition whereby i send him something else instead if i didnt meet my end of the bargain (but i will most DEFINITELY send him the pick though)
2) a deal like this is between the 2 gms, if they agree upon the deal its fine so long as unethical trading is happening.

neither is the case here. arian will get his pick. lol ill trade giroux if i have to, to get him that 7th.

lol the picture is funny. but i have a question for you:

Have you ever paid for McDonald's with your Visa? i can list a million other debt-driven mechanisms in this world (mortgages, operating lines, osap, lease financing for cars - youre from detroit right shoalzie? your city's economy runs on this lol. there are plenty of other examples).

So let's stick to hockey terms ;). future considerations are bonafide instruments in the negotiation of trades.
