Don't worry about that. I wasn't exactly going out of my way to get it all done.Tony wroteCOLONDomino effect waiting on me ... sorry fellas

however, dont be surprised if the Oilers try to trade for Reimer mid-season.

i agree, only because Thoedore sucks and would make a worse backup.shooker wroteCOLON+1Chuck Norris wroteCOLONNobody wants that plug....Big Fun wroteCOLONDubby wont walk (at least i dont think)Shoalzie wroteCOLONIt's going to suck next year when both Dubnyk and Labarbera walk and Edmonton starts over in goal...

It's amazing how forgiving leaf fans were of Reimer. If Carlysl, and his system weren't there, Reims rebound control would have forced Nonis to make a trade much sooner. I'd rather Jose Theodore as the Canucks backup than Reimer.
Completely disagree Kareem as stats can be misleading. In his first season he was a legit goaltender, I don't think you can argue that was when he was at his best. However after a season in the league coaches figure out how to beat you and he was unable to adapt ala Raycroft, Carey etc. I feel he benefited enormously from a team dedicated to defense last year rather than playing well. That being said, I think I only saw 15 regular season games and 7 playoff games. Roughly 50% of his total games last season might not be a large enough sample size to make a call like that though....MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONThat is just dumb Shooker... Reimer has been a .920% goalie in two of his three seasons. You make it seem like Reimer was playing behind the Bruins, when in reality he helped the Leafs defense, as much, if not more than Carlyle's "system."
Forget stats then, from a purely qualitative stand-point I thought Reimer saved the Leafs ass on an almost nightly basis last season, and I watched every single game. His numbers reflected his performance, they were not a by-product of some brilliant system employed by Carlyle. The truth is that the Leafs were hemmed in their own zone for long periods, and out-shot almost every game. The Leafs did a much better job of limiting quality scoring chances and keeping opponents to the outside, but it wasn't good enough to make an average to below average goalie look well above average.shooker wroteCOLONCompletely disagree Kareem as stats can be misleading. You have a legit goalie now imo. Time will tell though.
very true, but put Joseph Addai on Minny and he will still suck whereas I have a feeling Adrian Peterson wouldn't struggle at all on the Colts. The system can mask a poor player but it will never make a star out of them.bcool wroteCOLONGoalies in the NHL are like runnings backs in the NFL. The system plays a big role with how a goalie fares just like how the offensive line plays a big role in how a running back plays.
