Don't ask me about the 2014 1st...probably won't be on the block until next spring.

In light of the new roster rules, reducing the number of picks isn't that big of a concern.

Getting close to my spot (26th overall), I'll throw out some ideas if anyone is interested in the pick:

1. Prospect: A near NHL-ready prospect with a 1st round value...preferably a forward.
2. Trade Down For Picks: Combination of an early 2nd and late 2nd...both in 2013.
2a. Trade Down For Picks: Combination of an earlier 2013 2nd, a mid-to-late 2014 2nd and an additional 2013 3rd.
3. NHL Forward: Established NHLer with 1st round value...can't be a declining talent.

If I don't get a deal I like by the time I'm up, I'll just use the pick. I don't have to trade the pick but I'm open to these particular options if anyone is interested. To trade down for picks, I must receive two 2nd rounders. I will not settle for multiple 3rds in place of a 2nd.

Going to the Griffins-Crunch game tonight...feel free to shoot me any offers as my pick approaches. I have a couple decent offers but I'm still waiting to see which guys are left on the board when I'm up.

I'd be interested in moving the 76th overall (NSH 3rd) along with the 2014 3rd Rounder (CAR) to get back into the 2nd round. The later the 2nd round pick, I'd want a 2013 4th round pick included to even out the deal.

The round is winding down so I'd request a 4th (can be late or a 2014 pick) with a 2nd for the two 3rd round picks. I'm not looking for a spot in particular...I wouldn't mind moving up though. If we get to the 3rd round, I'm withdrawing the offer and I'll use my pick.

Offering the 91st overall (DET 4th) & 112th overall (WAS 4th) for a 3rd in the front half of the round...preferably before my next pick at 76.

Offering the 91st and 120th pick for a 3rd in the back half of the round...

Traded back to the 4th round...now have 5 picks in that round starting with the 91st. I'd be open to trading two 4ths for a 2014 3rd. Other than that, I'm going to make selections with those picks.

I had a sniff at my 4ths but I decided to hang onto my picks because I want to add actual players through this draft. I've got 6 of the next 34 picks.

Ballard will probably be one of them. I've had some teams ask about him already. I had several of my guys sign today so I can start making some decisions. I need to check my payroll...lost a lot of cap with some of the signings. I also know who is backing up Dubnyk now...I need to move on that.
