Confirmed.
Flame away boys. Here's my rationale. Dats is 34 and his BBKL value has already started slipping ever so slightly. RoR has always had ridiculous BBKL value until now cause hes not signed. Probably wont be able to get RoR this cheap ever again. Sell Dats before his value starts taking a dive and buy RoR at a major low point. Lose now to hopefully win later when he resigns. Considering I'm not going for this year I can wait him out!

I was just gonna say you only think about doing this if you already gave up for BBKL championship this year.
LOL @ Mike - Ya... it already seems as if ROR would be of that much value (Datsyuk) if he was signed and playing... But apparently not. When he's signed and playing he'll only be moved for Sid/Stamkos

Until I see links I don't buy it. None of my sources say that lol...
I was being pedantic, resigned not re-signed.

True its alot to pay. That being said if RoR takes a year to resign and Dats' value starts dropping (hypothetically he runs into injury issues like 2 years ago) within that time then Im shooting myself in the foot. Sell Dats while his value is high and buy a very in demand BBKLer (when playing) at an extreme low. It's a risk but a calculated one.

Just crazy to me. Dats is in another world from RoR IMO, regardless of age it's an insane player downgrade.

This is the equivalent of the Leaf game on Saturday night. Habs getting beat around at all aspects of the game.

Yep! Again, my theory is proven. Chuck must have been dragging his teeth and Shiv got upset so this is his punishment.

Lol everyone needs to calm down...This isn't a scrub. After ROR's awesome season last year, I recall offering Steve: Datsyuk for ROR straight and Steve declined. His reasoning? ROR is cheaper, younger and on the up. If in a month, ROR signs for 2.5-3.5, then this trade will look a lot different.
Also, I think everyone around here gives certain GMs a hard time: Chuck, Paul to name a couple.
Kareem traded RoR + McKegg for Vanek when he could have had Dats straight and kept McKegg. Regardless of their real life/fantasy value - Dats' value in BBKL >> Vanek's. I don't see anyone busting his chops.
Neither deal was very lopsided. Maybe more people would rather Dats than ROR. But try shopping either and see the response you get in a league where 80% of the GMs care more about players in their 20s than superstars in their 30s.

Hahahahahaha I started this entire go young thing like 2-3 years ago. So you can blame thT one on me shiv. Lol
As for THIS trade. Its not too bad. RoR is a big time bbkl player. Chucks taking a risk for sure but he prolly came close to maximizing the value of dats.
I also dont think anyone picks on any one GM in here. People are consistent with they way they see value and just express when they feel they see a head scratcher
