Kassian is beautiful, I wish I'd not traded him to Matt.

I wouldnt pull the trigger on 3 question marks for 2 young studs already in the nhl

it's called a value deal. and it's a good one. mash could make a lot happen with those 3 big pieces.

depends on if he wants to move forward with henrique and kassian as future pieces to his core or do some flipping

The question is, can matt go and get two better pieces with those assets than the ones he would be giving up. In my opinion it would be very difficult. Prospects dont sell like they used too.

A team in matts position IMO, should also not be trading away established young NHL talent for players who MIGHT become something one day.

Murphy holds terrible value atm as well.

I fail to see that as a value offer. 2 similarly young studs who have hit a very high level, is worth more then adding one more young guy, none of whom are proven, and it's not like their ceilings surpass what these two have already achieved.

Scheifle + Foresberg for Kassian, I can see the value there. But that leaves Henrique for Murphy, which is ways off IMO. At least how I see it


Kassian can likely land a similar player as he, + something future related. IE Clowe + early-mid 1st rounder (or similar developing as expected prospect).

Henrique I would struggle to trade for anything not known - a lock for Mackinnon/Jones perhaps. #1 type BBKL C isn't the easiest piece to acquire

i wouldn't touch scheifele and forsberg for kassian with a 10 ft pole so i guess thats where we differ
