obviously i don't like it, but had to trim a couple of contracts.

Note: edited to adjust the abbreviation of Tampa Bay.

Not to be nitpicky but what the fuck is TBY, some ice cream shop?
Should be either TBL or just TB, as per NHL/ESPN

no, but its just whats done as per NHL.com for all abbreviated teams. Some short named teams like TB/NY/LA etc need that third abbreviated letter which happens to represent the first letter of the team name. Others have long enough name to be abbreviated into three letters.
