I already have Greiss, that's why this is done. Check the stats ... Ward and Niemi is pretty much a wash. Peters is inconsistent and Boucher will retire after this year if he doesn't go on LTIR ... AGAIN. But I'm an idiot apparently ...

For my team, I'm a big believer in Ward putting up more Wins with Carolina's upgraded team. We shall see though. Win-Win deal.

I think Ward puts up more wins this season as well. After this season the CAR system is a question mark (after Ward of course), but who the hell cares ... Shiv is always trying to win NOW. Me, not so much ... this makes more sense for building (for me).

At first I viewed this as a killing, Carolina on an upswing, Ward a top end goalie. However I can def see how a Sharks fan could be interested, especially with the regular season dominance by the Sharks. I might be crossing individual player love, and playoff performances, with what is actually a fine deal. Just feels like you gave the CAR system away a little too cheap.

Traded him to get the SJS system which was moved for the CAR system.

I understand why tony made this deal, i just would have wanted more.

DSP needs to be in this deal to make it fair IMO.

Tony is a sharks fan so I get him making the trade. Niemi is actually pretty good statistically. Just has some haters.
