Shouldnt that pick be in the background, like a gentlemens deal? I say that because there is no way to track it like Mike mentioned. Someone owing someone else a pick is not a tradeable asset that can safely be kept track of? can it?

I know they have been traded before but if anyone has a problem I am sure we can rework this

It really should be a "gentleman's" pick. Not up to us to keep track of that.

Good deal boys. Win/win.

I threw a note on my draft records of this deal...I trust that you and Nick do what you need to do to make this square.

that's huge!

However, it needs some rewording at least:
-cannot trade assets you don't own
-cannot trade assets potentially owed ( involved) in a condition..

Is it really a conditional thing when Nick owes a 2nd Rounder regardless? I'm not a fan of these deals involving "futures" but technically, it falls outside those words. It's on Nick to pay up his bet so that deal can be completed.

again:
-cannot trade assets you don't own
-cannot trade assets potentially owed (involved) in a condition..
these rules have been added for a reason.. i don't think we should go back and re-thinking the whole thing each time, just to remember which exactly all those reasons were..

anyway, relying on bet picks was (and would still be) wrong cause it would create problems any time a GM quits the league.. you don't want to charge a new GMs for bets he never made just because the outcoming picks were part of a deal.

Besides, the league is not in charge of the control over bet picks so iirc (it's been a long time eh, damn lockout) we don't take for granted that those will be indeed paid.

The 2nd rounder owed 'by Nick' should not be posted and is a gentleman's agreement for it to be settled.

If need be I'll take it out of the title

For book-keeping sake, I need to know where these picks are coming from so we don't have the old routine of a handful of picks each year go unclaimed because not every pick is accounted for.
