His BBKL stats definitely don't reflect a #1 center. I like it for Steve..Mike Richards is another player where he's a lot better in the NHL than he is in BBKL.Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONrichards see's the ice of a number 1 C

Re: PIT/LAK
Last year Mike Richards wasn't very good, and he has a history of declining value, but if he were to regain the form of a couple seasons prior than he would be a stellar H2H asset, easily on par with Koivu, if not even a little bit better.bcool wroteCOLONHis BBKL stats definitely don't reflect a #1 center. Over Mike Richards? Really... That is different from what I've been hearing from you the last 3 years, lol.Nick wroteCOLONI have a koviu boner - nice win IMO Steve
Re: PIT/LAK
Yep. Takes time to lose love for a player, 4 years ago he was epic, very solid 3, losing role 2 years ago but still a dominant player, and then this year I didn't think he looked like himself -> now, that very statement says I believe he'll return to form, however I really do have faith in Mikko as a #1 C - injuries his only holdback IMO.
It's not a 'rape' or big win, just a marginal victory mostly due to situation, and a little bit based on play I've seen of late.

Re: PIT/LAK
You realize that Mike Richards has produced roughly the same ppg as Mikko Koivu over his career in his declining years, right? And contrary to popular opinion, Kovu hasn't been starved for offensive wingers, in his career he has played with one of: Marian Gaborik, Martin Havlat and Dany Heatley for all but one season. Oddly enough, the one season Koivu had no one, 08-09 was his second best statistical season, go figure...

Re: PIT/LAK
Mike Richards is money. M Rich + Carter will be a better line than Koivu + Parise imo. Not to mention, I think Richards will see more SHTOI, all the while saving me 1M in cap. Also Koivu turns 30 this year while M Rich is still 27. The 1-2 punch for Steve is valuable but I think I got the better player.

Re: PIT/LAK
If Richards returns to form he is kesler and this is a big win for shiv. Until that happens Richards is Laich and Steve wins. I take similar risks like I did with Derek Roy so I like the thought process of shiv but I think he should have made steve add something.

Re: PIT/LAK
I do not expect Richards to have more toi of any kind then Mikko. Richards is a #2 with a much bigger role, Mikko is the full #1 though - and that's Kopi on LAK.

Re: PIT/LAK
I thought that too, but looking at the stats there isn't a big difference between a declining Mike Richards and Mikko Koivu, both players are around 60-70 points with very strong peripheries.shooker wroteCOLONIf Richards returns to form he is kesler and this is a big win for shiv. i agree with shiv,,,since Carter's been in town Richards has been money. The only reason i make this deal is to be the Parise-Koivu 1-2 punch.
