I think the only chance this is a fair trade is if there is no season this year. St Louis loses value every year he he gets older. I do love this trade though, bet Kareem is just killing himself lol.

Two sides:

Side one: Strome will never be elite
Side two: MSL is already 36 and only getting older; however still good for that top line scoring threat.

The contending team will take in consideration of side two, and run with that point. MSL will potentially have WAY less value by next year (provided that he goes thru a rough 2012-2013)

Honestly speaking, Anton is probably satisfied with this return, but I am probably willing to bet there would've been GM's paying more for MSL IMO. Whether he cares about that, I am NOT certain.

Not for Anton... He offered me MSL for Strome alot, and I continually said no. As good as MSL is, he is 37... You don't trade an elite prospect for a 37 year old, I don't care how good he is.

Nope... I was offered it, and declined. I take a 27 year old, and improving Lupul over a declining 37 year old MSL everyday. To be honest, there aren't too many players I would take over Lupul, he is a flat out stud, and every advanced statistic supports that belief.

I know this league is all about age. But St. Louis will wing Stamkos till he retires. 60+ points year after year. Maybe even 70+.
