Kesler has more: HITS, BS, SHTOI and FOW, and the gap in points isn't terribly wide either.gooker wroteCOLONhonest question: kareem have a boner for kesler (knowin he wont be playin til dec) or his h2h that much better than backstroms? (didnt check stats)
I would have done it regardless, Ryan Kesler has bettered Nicklas Backstrom in H2H three years running. Mark Jankowski and Anton Lander is a hefty price to pay for the upgrade, but make no mistake, it's a price I would pay seven days a week.Nick wroteCOLONI think you got destroyed Kareem. Had i been here, would have said don't do it.
You will find that this is hard to prove with objective evidence.Nick wroteCOLONAnd from my POV Backstrom is a superior hockey player
Nicklas Backstrom missed almost two months last season with a concussion, that is a known injury.Nick wroteCOLONwithout know injury
Would you prefer if it I gave you my subjective POV with no statistical reinforcement whatsover?Nick wroteCOLONHahha what sort of weak ass argument is that?
As long as Ryan Kesler isn't injured in the playoffs it doesn't make a great deal of difference to me. Particularly in a lockout shortened season.Nick wroteCOLONNicklas is not projected to miss any time this year as a result of a known injury, unlike the player you traded for.
You failed to mention that Ryan Kesler significantly underperformed (offensively) due to well documented injuries. 50 points are not the norm for Ryan Kesler, 65-75 is the norm.Nick wroteCOLONWith more than 30 extra GP Kessler barely had more points - and that's a somewhat conservative pace for the extremely skilled backstrom. He's a player I'd confidently count on to be a number 1 centre for some time.
No kidding.Nick wroteCOLONHaha guess we got some conversation going on this big deal.
Gosh, I hope not... Three more months without hockey is too much!Shoalzie wroteCOLONMaybe Kareem lucks out and the lockout lasts as long as Kesler was going to sit out to start the season...
Shoalzie wroteCOLONI've got him in another league...it was annoying to wait for him to come back last year. I hope he's right when he comes back this time.
yea but he was never right. Wasn't the same kesler last year as he was the previous few seasons and I am talking about way more than points.Nick wroteCOLONShoalzie wroteCOLONI've got him in another league...it was annoying to wait for him to come back last year. didn't he miss a total of 5 or 6 games?
What is your opinion on the deal Shooker, I am really interested to hear it.shooker wroteCOLONyea but he was never right.
