Btw in a Leaf league, it is UNREAL how little love Bozak gets. Every year people doubt him. And every year he puts up 50 points + 650 FOW. Not to mention his cap hit of 1.5M is incredibly valuable

thats true of every fan base. They either love players too much or dislike them unfairly (ie Bobby Lou). BTW before you call bozak a 50 pt player, let him get to the 50 point mark lol.

I agree though no love for Bozak in this league.

You make it sound like the Leafs don't have a need or the intention to get a top 6 center.

They can get one. But it won't change that Bozak will get 40-50 points with 600-700 FOW. People in fantasy hockey act like skill drastically changes as players are added. Bozak was the Leafs highest FOT guy with a 52.7% FO% <-- That is solid and a stat that won't suddenly change if a new C is added. If anything, Connolly (48.7 FO%), Lombardi (49.3 FO%) will lose the amount of draws they take --> which totals to about 600 FOT. Then you add the fact that a C will probably be traded in a deal where the Leafs acquire one + the fact that if Bozak is traded to that team nothing changes + the fact that Bozak has UNREAL chemistry with Kessel and Lupul + the fact that the Leafs may have a "need" for a top 6 Center yet DON'T HAVE ONE + the fact that Bozak is 1.5M in BBKL + the fact that regardless of his situation on his team at the end of the day, BBKL value will still be 40-50 points, 600-700 FOW, it begins to become clear that the hate on Bozak has to do more with the Leafs than his actual BBKL value.

I dont hate Bozak. But you have to realize that if/when better players are added, Bozak's TOI, specifically his PP TOI will drop drastically. I won't say that Bozak isn't a 40-50 guy with 600 FOW but there's just uncertainty in his role which would obviously impact his fantasy value. Leaf fans are worried that Bozak is Matt Stajan all over again. He's a nice player, but he's a tweener thats not really a top 6 center but not really a bottom 6 center either that has been forced into a #1 center role. Bozak's stats and production the past 2 years is ALL based on him being the #1 center on the maple leafs. His production may or may not drop if/when the leafs add a center and he falls down the depth chart but you can't blame people if they shy away from Bozak because of the uncertainty of his role.

Bozak has way more value centring Lupul and Kessel on Line 1 than centring Connolly and Frattin on line 3.

If he stays a 40-50 point guy with 600+ FOW REGARDLESS of where he plays, then it doesn't mean a flying fuck what his role is in BBKL.

This just furthers the BBKL mentality.

There is a group of about 50 NHLers the BBKL constantly undervalues to no end. Youth/Potential constantly trumps stats --> In a stats based league this is ridiculous. And GOOD NHLers. I.e. Ryan Smyth, Ray Whitney, David Legwand, Patrik Elias, Toni Lydman, Daniel Alfredsson, Brian Gionta, Dany Heatley, Brad Richards, Dan Boyle, Olli Jokinen, Patrick Marleau, Vincent Lecavalier, Matt Cullen, Danny Briere... etc etc.

"WAIT HE'S OVER 30. I'M A SHIT TEAM WITH NO CHANCE OF WINNING BUT I DON'T WANT HIM."
"WAIT HE'S NOT A TOP FLIGHT NAME BUT STILL PRODUCES STATS? I DON'T WANT HIM."

It's a fucking epidemic. I'll be happy with my 40-50 POints + 600 FOW Center for 1.5M giving me ample amount of cap to spend elsewhere. Stats + Cap efficiency win this league. That's all I care about.
