Why is it always the winning side that posts about how they lost?

Like it for Cliff, but can see the reasoning behind both sides making the trade.

Cliff does have the advantage to this deal for now... Kulemin talks of getting checking line duty/Mueller not receiving qualifying offer... but then, Franson's future also unsure, so Williams is what's holding his side intact really.

???????????
Williams >> Kulemin
Franson > Mueller, unless Mueller recovers from his concussions then Mueller > Franson
My reasoning is I took all the risk. Kulemin has had a great year and an awful year. The balance is inbetween IMO, but hopefully it's closer to the 30g side and not the 7g side.
Williams, like Marleau, is one of the most underrated players in this league. 60pts for 3.5mil in back to back years. Shown he can eclipse 70+ and seems to be over his injuries.
with JVR in the mix, Kulemin is slotted in on the 3rd line.

I think its safe to assume he bounces back. I personally hink that KHL crash had aneffect on him and his psyche. lost some close friends iirc?
He also shot the puck waaaaaaaay less last year. Not sure why. Kid needs to unleash 200 a year with the calibre shot he has.

I like this for Cliff unless mueller comes back. Lands the best player in the deal and as shep pointed out, go rid of a lot of risk.

Higher risk(s) for shep; however, much higher payout if both mueller and kully return to form!
Even deal imo

What Steve said is why I like the deal on Shep's part.

Seriously don't mean to be a troll but, I don't think Kully is coming back to form

I personally think its an even deal if both come back to form.... Williams is still the best player even if those two are playing great again. Just means I think this is a real big win if they don't
