man.. how many swaps of the same player did you guys make?
We actually do have a, non-enforced*, no trade back rule; perhaps you guys should slow it down to not make it look so silly.
*wording is poor, and intended for disallowing rentals - but let's not make a need for a no silly trading rule.

Tell more GMs to get online and I'd be happy to trade with them instead lol...slim pickings amongst GMs lately....*cough* Mr. Nick *cough*

Examining the past 5 trades between MTL & PIT would be comical -> which isn't good for the league, not that I'd support withholding and delaying league activity.
And yes, my time is a little tighter but I do plan on bouncing in for short chats more often - site has been down and work has been demanding, etc etc. LOL

I was just joking Nick lol, were all busy. Im just making deals with those online, theres no collusion or anything going on. Unfortuanately its harder too without the forums to advertise and pm with. Now that were back up Im sure Ill make deals with a much more diverse set of teams.

Oh i didn't mean to suggest that you two are doing anything illegal, or wrong. Just that (IMO) it's silly to swap players like this, I do understand that activity being down limits trading partners and opportunities.

Shut up, nick. Unless you have grounds for suggesting we are cheating, chuck and I can trade the same players back and forth as many times as we like. We are not doing tradebacks either. Each trade has been a little different.

So what nick is suggesting is that he doesn't agree with how chuck and I run our teams?

I accused you of nothing, and do not think anything shady is going on, no need to be irrational (Kareem left I thought?).
Doesn't mean I do not have an opinion; I do think trading the same couple of players 5 times in 4 days is extremely silly, and not a good practice FOR THE LEAGUE -> it's very laissez faire and decreases the realistic nature of the league.
6-3 : No tradeback/rental trades will be allowed
This is an old rule that we stopped enforcing and edited the words of it appears; I even recall the original logic that a former-gm put forth-> if it's co-ordinated swapping it's illegal, if it's mindless swapping it's not something we want. I agreed with it then during the formation of the rules, and agree with it now.
To be clear:
- no I am not saying you two are colluding or something
- yes i do believe you're both very capable GMs, and awesome BBKL contributors.
- and yes I think excessive re-trading players in and out, in a short time period, is bad for the league, and has been something that was covered in the past.

Nick, this is one of those times where you try to overcompensate on BBKL by trying to act like you are in charge.
Chuck and I can make as many trades as possible with each other involving the same players so long as we are not colluding/trading back. There is not a rule in the world that says we cannot. So how about you stop sticking your nose in for no reason whatsoever. If you think that me and chuck trading some of the same players is silly, then that is your opinion. But don't come in here and pass it off as something that needs to be regulated.

I wont be as adversarial as my trading partner Shiv is. That being said I think that rule 6-3 is to prevent rentals like at the trade deadline. Were trying to get NHL realism and in the real NHL there is no rule on trading the same players over. That being said its not really done but again there is no rule preventing a swap of the same player repeatedly. Yeah it doesnt look the best but its not illegal.
One could also argue that if were gunning for NHL realism then all 30 GMs should be a phone call away to make deals. Unfortunately real life gets in the way and not everyone can. So GMs that are a little more active are forced to deal with the other more active GMs rather than wait for the busier GMs to come around. Hell some guys dont answer PMs for many days.
My opinion, unless guys are knowingly are renting players there is no cause to even bring up 6-3. That being said I also think everyone is making a much bigger deal out of this than it needs to be.
Take a chill pill y'all!

I love the summer...Shiv's roster changes more times than a nervous woman picking out what to wear on a first date.
