To Nashville:
Steve Mason
Sebastian Aho (CAR W)
2017 7th Rounder SJ
To San Jose:
Sergei Bobrovsky
Ivan Barbashev
Villi Saarijarvi
Juho Lammikko
2017 4th Rounder BUF
SJ confirms. Initial base was easy, then alot of back and forth to get Aho in there.

High upside deal for the rebuilder, safe one for the contender. Nice

When I saw Bob being moved...I'm surprised Mrazek wasn't involved. He would've cost a ton after looking at this deal.

Mrazek is pretty untouchable

yeah I sensed it was not even possible to pursue a deal for Mrazek (which sucks, considering his cap hit)

Interesting. I imagine you can flip Bob for quite a bit if your intention is to roll with Mrazek going forward.

Prefer this for Anaheim, as he holds the nsh 1St, and this substandard goaltending mik has acquired likely means he loses in the first round to min/chi.

Mason is better than Bob. Discuss

Mason is okay but the big thing for Mik is the cap room. And Mik has the resources to get another goalie if he wants one.

That's a path I will be exploring after the season after the summer goaltending shuffle when everyone knows where they stand after the draft and free agency.

Watch Mason night in and night out and you will gain a different level of appreciation for him. Both are very good goalies when healthy though.

Mik clearing out cap is big. Gives his lineup flexibility now.

Steve Mason has also won a ring, so he has luck on his side.
