Don't think Phillips retires, I never heard/read those reports anywhere. I did read that he feels he still wants to play, and he does have term left on his contract. He decided to have surgery on his back so he can continue to play. I read that the surgery went really good. I fully expect him to play 1 more yr.

Part of the issue is with him the Sens have 9 NHL calibre defensemen. The Sens really need to make a move and shed some deadweight. I was reading one blogger who showed that Phillips' advanced metrics were in line with Douglas Murray's in his final NHL season....as scary as that is lol.
