NYI/SJS - FOW king

To New York Islanders:
- Boyd Gordon
- Kevin Klein
- Craig Adams

To San Jose Sharks:
- David Desharnais
- Matt Tennyson
- Adam Crackell
- Freddie Hamilton
- Kondrad Abeltshauser
- NYI 4th rounder 2016

I had some other offers to sell these guys individually, but most were low balls. Tony stepped up with a very good offer and we worked out the details from there. I get younger and add to my prospects/draft picks. Giving up H2H and periph; basically my trade block to a tee.

Tony to accept. (also please post gif)

Yep good luck to Tony and the NYI in the East.

Still more to be done. As you can see, I have no interest in raping GMs. My guys are available in the trade block. Sometimes all it takes is the right guy that I like. You'll never know unless you ask.

Rules question - is Cracknell waiver exempt through trade? looking to send him down.

If he was already in the minors he stays there, if he was on Tony's active roster he would need to go through waivers.

Ur a class act bro. I dont have a problem with the way u run ur trades.... But I guess I owe it to the league that there's gotta be some sorta legit opinion to be laid out on this instead of reading nothing but the usual bbkl 'raped' without reason

Ur new to the league. But I understand that ur not new to our type of h2h/size of the league either. However this place differs slightly in a way that, when packaging a bunch of actual nhl contributing pieces for a desharnais whos clearly been moved to wing for like a month now + collection of mature prospects and one decent one gets ppl going. Theyre worth a lot (and I thought u had a good understanding of that seeing as u asked me for krejci in return...) and then u went ahead and 'helped' Tony out huge... Trust me if I was a DESHARNAIS owner I'd have been ecstatic borderline called rape for receiving such offer from u. Just keep in mind on the consequence and the kind of value that has been set out for contention pieces like this and while u claim that u dont care about the kind of stats u get back since ur block stated it, it's warranted that u receive much more impactful tier of prospects back for guys like Gordon Klein next time

Hey Kimmer!!

Thanks for the very thoughtful post here. I appreciate it. You are a very smart GM and I respect your opinion. You have made some excellent trades to improve the CAR franchise. Good work.

I'll share a few points with you; not try to and justify this trade (as I have not guilt here to remove) as you seem interested in my intentions:

1) Tennyson - about a year and a half ago, a trade went down in IFFHL (another league I am in with a handful of guys here) like this:
Tennyson + two 3rds --> 1st rounder
I had no idea who Tennyson was and was really pissed off at the GM for trading their 1st rounder for this package (Matt can confirm this argument). Since then, I have had Tennyson on my fantasy radar. He has improved greatly since that trade went down a year and a half ago, and has now earned the 6th D spot on the SJS blue-line. I like what he has to offer, and I think he has upside to surpass Klein H2H value within the next few years. Anyway, I value him probably more than others because I have got to know him (stats wise). As I mentioned, I think it is important for GMs always to inquire because you'll never know who they value until you ask.

2) Tony - Very recently Tony traded me Jokinen for Jackman. Since then, Jokinen earned me a trade with Mike (PIT) which helped me move improve the SJS system landing Milky and Fasching. Tony is type of GM who I know is not looking for a rape, but just wants fair value. I trust him, and he now has receive some the best players available from my block. For me, this is what makes fantasy hockey fun: GM relations. In the big picture, it is not important to win (or try to rape) every single trade. I would much prefer earning the trust of a GM to help in the long run of negations.

3) Selling at high points - I love to do this as you see. Klein + Gordon's value is not getting any higher than it is now. Klein is hot and has played amazing as of late; the H2H will always be there but not always at this level. Gordon is killing the face-offs now, mainly in part to EDM having almost no other face-off option. as the EDM C situation improves, Gordon will slowly lessen his role and TOI. Tony will use them now too take a run at the championship. I am ok with this. Good luck to him.

I still have some move moves to make. I would encourage those still interested to at least start a PM with me. You might not know I value a player that you wouldn't mind moving anyway. Not because I am any smarter than anyone else here, but just because the deal works at the time for both clubs.
