I hope for Scott's sake he didn't just trade away McDavid for this package.
Love it for Shep, the top end of next year's draft projects to be significantly better. Scott speeds up his rebuild by a year and you never know with prospects so he might win big, but he could have traded a superstar for a star.

I was expecting a lot of heat...won't know how this works out until next spring. I'm bracing for him getting a top 3 pick...obviously #1 would be the doomsday scenario. Obviously, I'd hope for a pretty good improvement this year where the #1 pick might be out of play.

Judging by Carolina's recent trades with Steve, I doubt he's a top 3 pick. I would project in the 10-15 range.
