I would take Grabo at this stage over Hossa, especially at their respective cap hits, Schroeder and Rattie were just gravy. The Devil wroteCOLONit's a solid trade. I like it for Cliff too but imho, Marian Hossa>>Mikhail Grabovski & 2 meh prospects I gave up.. it was really a no brainer
Not me.. not even close. Hossa's a legit 1st line player who does it all. Grabo's had one good year with a lot to prove still. I'd never trade Hossa for Grabo straight up and neither would the Hawks.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONI would take Grabo at this stage over Hossa, especially at their respective cap hits, Schroeder and Rattie were just gravy. The Devil wroteCOLONit's a solid trade. Grabo takes draws, has proven he can score between 50-60 points, puts up some pims and hits, and Wilson proclaimed he will use Grabo and Kulemin on the pk more this season (had 90ish minutes last yr). At 2.9 million there really isn't much of a debate, IMO. Another consideration is that Hossa hasnt played 80 games since 07, and has been in decline the last few years, but hey if you like Hossa that much, all the power to you brother; I would take Grabovski. The Devil wroteCOLONNot me.. not even close. I haven't seen any decline in his game whatsoever.. stilla legit 70+ point guy if healthy. And he's due for a healthy season here as he's still a young 32.MSP4LYFE wroteCOLONGrabo takes draws, has proven he can score between 50-60 points with even greater upside, and Wilson proclaimed he will use Grabo and Kulemin on the pk more this season. Grabo is younger, cheaper and on the rise. Plus the Leafs have a gaping hole in the middle, ditto with the Hawks on the second line, I don't think it is as sure a thing as you do. Of course, I have no insight into the hawks or leafs management room, so I can only speculate. The Devil wroteCOLONI'd never trade Hossa for Grabo straight up and neither would the Hawks.
WHo's interested in 1st Ana 2013?Arian wroteCOLONlooks like cliff is looking into the future with his team
You are either deliberately obtuse, or didn't bother to check. In Atlanta, Hossa put up 92 and 100 points respectively. He has yet to score 80 or ppg since, and in the last three seasons he has seen his ppg clip drop, that is defined as a decline in production. The Devil wroteCOLONI haven't seen any decline in his game whatsoever.. stilla legit 70+ point guy if healthy. We all know this deal made my team fucking real real good. Sure, I'll probably regret trading Johansen but meh.. if I three-peat, I'll laugh pretty hard too..

Scott: "anyone for sale"
Cliff: "possibly Hossa"
Scott: "What are you looking for?"
Cliff: "young NHLers"
Scott: "Would you do Ryan Johansen for Marian Hossa"
Cliff: "Let me think about it, I'll get back to you in a day"
Scott: "OK"
.....
10 minutes later I had a PM saying post it up.
