That is my fault actually, I told him to do the above format.
no worries. it's not as big a deal with small lists like yours, but when there's 10-15 of them, it's a pain in the ass to look them all up.

Please don't forget to check CBS on a regular basis for players that do no appear on your team sheet. The players that are just placeholders can be found by looking under the Percent Owned category. "na" will show if that player is currently just a place holder.

It looks as though CBS added some prospects that weren't there before. For example, Adam Larsson is now added on CBS.

Adding these players will prevent you from forgetting to do it later, and it will also prevent someone else from claiming them if they are on the Free Agent list.

In closing, search for your players here: http://bbkl.hockey.cbssports.com/players/search

Is there a way to find out if Bergey had any placeholders? I wish I had asked that question earlier lol

Do what I just told you to do. Look at your CBS roster for any players with na and their % owned, and add them.

Just one thing i like to add to prevent arguments during the upcoming Waiver draft:

if you draft a player that is owned on CBS as a placeholder, even if that player has been already made available on CBS (and figure among CBS free agents) you're wasting your pick:
you're invited to sub placeholders with real CBS players as soon as they're available, but placeholders still work to retain players rights anyway.

Mentioned this to scott earlier this week but I will bring it up here...

I own Andrew Crezcenzi (w.e his last name is). Currently I only have the placeholder listing of him. Here is the problem,, when I search CBS he comes up as a free agent but when I go to the free agent list he is no where to be found and thus I can't add him! Sup with that?

I've made a bunch of add/drops this summer but they have been deleted for w.e. reason, so I tried again yesterday and still nothing. Can a mod please help me with this? Guys like Janik, Nolan, Ortmeyer etc. are still listed on my cbs team and alot of managers have asked me for them as a result.

Try again, Kareem.

Also, CBS has added a lot of new player profiles recently, I just found 4 from my team, so please check you N/A's in CBS.

And stop bitching at me when I PM you to tell you that your guy now has a placeholder in CBS. I'm doing you a favour.

Thankfully Scott corrected the problem a few days ago. Replaced the Larsson place holder as well, so I should be good to go.

Any player that was a placeholder, that has been added to CBS, is NOT eligible in the waiver draft.

Shep is correct, as Mik said above it's wasting your pick.

However Lee is also correct -> it is good practice to add them when you see them (and drop the placeholder) -> who knows if they somehow get a game you misewell see the little yellow update box!

Adding a placeholder fro Willie Coetzee to Pauls team. There is a profile in CBS, however he cannot be added to his team.
