actually, what contributed to make Mikko so difficult to get was Malkin himself, as despite many tries i was not able to get him without Mikko in any deal. So once last year i realized Koivu was the only way to land Malkin, any other deal for him was basically secondary to the first (i.e. only happening if what i would get for Mikko would make it easier for me to get Malkin).Habber wroteCOLONShiv all the way. in the end Koivu was basically traded last year in a different deal for Malkin (despite the fact i liked Mikko much more at 3.2M than at 6.7M), but after his injuries troubles geno went down for the season and all fell through.
as for this deal, my only concern is Malkin's health.
I know it's a good deal for Shiv, but contrary to what most here think, i feel like right now Malkin is underrated and Mikko is overrated..
so, imo, if geno is fine i'll be as well.
