it's hard facing Semin and Ryan hot in the same week!

Mike Green on LTIR, Randy Jones is out, Alex Sulzer I'm unsure of but probably hurt, and no time table for Steve Downie to return

thats rough, hopefully you get at least 1 starter to suit up, although im thinking holtby plays friday as he hasnt been scored on in the last 2 games hes played in, and the sunday matchup is given to neuvirth, good thing washington play 4 times this week and you might get a chance to take some of those goalie stats

Nope.. being the highest seed has to mean something. We decided on this last season.. it isn't changing now.

Well, I am definitely out of this race. Not a chance in hell i can come back now. Chuck has advantage in games played from here on out and he also has goalie stats locked up. I would be careful though Chuck. You had 73 goalie games played before our match and you will have 77 when we are done. Schneider has been playing every 2nd game. Based on that you will have to bench Schneider next round or risk a penalty for going over games played. Either way your team has done great and you deserve to move on. Just like real life, Bruins can't beat the Habs!

Home ice is a stupid tie breaker. Seeding should have no impact on a playoff match up, the match up should have impact on the match up. Especially with all the fucking flaws in the schedule.

completely disagree.
the teams that earned the better ranking at the end of the regular season risk to be eliminated, no matter where they finished, over a single week performance (which is btw affected by the real schedule).. it's only fair to me they have at least something tangible to show for the results they achieved during a long RS. The benefit of facing the lower seed could be only theoric, like in real life where they in fact have the home advantage in the tie-breaking game 7.
That also makes the RS more interesting, otherwise once a team is qualified for the PO the rest of the RS matchups would become kinda pointless for its GM..

I cannot say I love higher-seat tie-break.

I know it's not being changed and I certainly understand the reasoning behind the higher seeded team being awarded the tie breaker. Would just be a shitty way to lose.

on the other hand, as far as the first round goes, it could be a way to win for you
and would losing to another team (that finished 100pts behind you) because of goals scored in a single week a less shitty way to lose?
if you scored less goals and still tied that week, it means you won one more of the other stats..

Tie should mean both teams lose and the best team left gets a bye.
TIE = LOSS
