i was never a fan, never understood why so many had in him in the 1st round (i know he went in the 2nd). But he was a product of a stacked mooseheads team. He never really won us any games on his own. Mackinnon, Druion, Frk carried that team

The thing about prospects is they are not valued according to how they dominate junior and development leagues, but by the potential they have to perform in the NHL when provided with professional coaches etc. I think people see Fucale as someone who can be developed into a top tier goalie, he doesn't need to be one now.

I'm with you steve. Being a goalie myself I don't see the skill there but who knows josh - you could be right.
