This is one of my favorite times of the year right now. Just a few weeks left in the NHL season, start going in full scout mode for the CHL, NHL playoffs just around the corner. Definitely a good time to be a hockey fan.

Today is arguably the best day of the college hockey season...6 games total. One half of the bracket is just getting underway with the other half determining two of the Frozen Four. Both Eichel and Hanifin are in action today.

This has nothing to do with the 2015 draft, but I just noticed it and thought it was interesting. Puljujarvi who is just 16 led the 2015 world juniors in shots this past December. When was the last time a 16 year old has done that?
Between puljujarvi and Matthews the 2016 draft is looking pretty good too. Matthews has arguably better stats than Eichel did at the same point in his development.

With our conference finals set...we've now got a big chunk of the draft order determined. Over the weekend, I started working on a new way of tracking the draft by incorporating Google and my old website stuff. I'll have an offseason project of converting over all the past draft results into Google. I'll get the order up for all 7 rounds some time this week. I'll continue to update that was get closer to the lottery.
Plus, I'll be doing the annual end-of-season stats stuff in Google for this season and I'll working on converting the previous years into the same spreadsheet to give you guys a nice resource for stats all in one place.

Thank you so much for this. I use those spreadsheets for past years constantly.

After the first round of the playoffs, his spot was the only one locked in place. We have more after this week's matchups. I'll update it when I get a chance. With the lottery...the first 14 picks in the 1st round aren't determined.

Draft position is determined after two rounds.
Final 4 = last 4 draft spots.
All 1st and 2nd round exits are slotted based on regular season rankings, doesn't matter which round they got the boot in.

Nope, see my first post:
Shoalzie wroteCOLON*1st Round Draft Order Rules*
Pick #1: All teams that fail to qualify for the playoffs enter the draft lottery; a weighted lottery is conducted to determine the 1st pick only
Picks #2-14: Teams that don't win the lottery are slotted are based on regular season standings
Picks #16-26: Teams eliminate in the first two rounds of the BBKL playoffs are slotted based on regular season standings
Picks #27 & 28: Conference Finalists; the team with the fewer regular season points get the 27th pick
Pick #29: BBKL Runner-Up
Pick #30: BBKL Champion
It's kinda quirky but only the conference and Stanley Cup finalists move down in the order if they advance that far. The first 12 eliminated teams are slotted based on the regular season.

Naw, I've got it for sure. I'm at 1015 now, 57 GP this week. 54 next week. I could add some GP in both weeks by swapping Granlund for Dubinsky this week and Granlund for one of my Florida guys next.
All of my guys are healthy and playing.
