Nick wroteCOLONTo any haters. This is easier than your system, it does the cap for you. Mike has done some very nice work.

Step-by-step:

click the link -> "TEAM Abbreviation " spreadsheet should open, and it's an empty list of picks (add your picks that match to year/round).

Next at the bottom of the page (the bottom bar) reads "Picks" and just next to it is "Roster Submission", click it.

Now you should see a spreadsheet of your team (up to date with CBS about 10 days ago). To begin:
Under Column C " Role" next to Steve Stamkos, type "C2" (he's my 2nd line center)
Next to Sidney Crosby I type "C1" for first line center.


for someone in your minors like Nathan Beulieu, his role (in Column C) should be "M", repeat for other AHLers and other prospects (just M, no #). You'll get a !!! and red bar in column "I" if that player would require waivers to be in the minors (a very nice feature).

For Nik Kulemin who I'm guessing is my top line LW, under Role, in Column C type in "W1". RW will be W2.

#1 Left- dman spot (Tyler Myers) is D1.

Fill in C1-C4 (no repeats)
W1-W8 (no repeats)
D1-D6 (again, no repeats)
G1 & G2

If you want to dress a 7th dman, call their position W8, same story for a 5th Center (following the rule of no repeat positions - to be clear, with 5C & 7D, you'd dress one of the at W7 and one at W8 - as you have have 6 wingers dressed (W1-W6), and the C(1-4) D(1-6) are already full. This is a safe way to make sure you're dressing the correct # of players.


At any point, after entering a players position, you should see them appear on the right side of the spreadsheet - and you'll see the cap info update automatically.


you'll need to empty the cells of players you've traded away , and add players you've traded for (simple as entering his data in the right cells).


This sheet auto-calculates your cap situation, number of active players, number of contracts (assuming you enter the data correctly), it lets you know who requires waivers (under our rules - except for unsigned players), and really eases the burden of organizing your team. Try it with an open mind and you'll love it.


Just like many others here, I have a system I'm evolved since season one, it'd tidy and I trust it myself, but a common spreadsheet for all is a much superior option.
