Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONYeah Lee is correct here,

If our slide rule applies before roster submission then players would always 'slide' regardless of their real life situation (assuming I am following) we essentially are assuming that guys are being sent down. If the slide rule goes into effect after the 9 NHL game limit then teams such as the example Lee is proposing would need to shed 5 contracts in order to go through roster submission, and then would have an additional 5 spots open in week 2 or 3 after his players had been sent down assuming they go down.
i'm not getting it. You seem to suggest a contract may count before 9 games are reached and not count after 9 games, which doesn't make sense to me.

Anyway, it's simple, we start counting contracts from roster submission, so that's when the slide is starting to apply.
A player eligible for slide at roster submission allows you to have his contract slide.

Sensfanjosh wroteCOLONWe won't know if they are called up until after roster submission is Lee's point I believe.
it won't matter for us.

Anyway, once something definite is approved inside the CC, specifics of how the slide will be implemented/regulated will clear the doubts.

bills09 wroteCOLONJunior players should slide unless called up in which one would need contract space
that's basically what i've been proposing inside the CC
In the NHL all players under 20 with less than 10 nhl gp slide
At our tdd we should be given the option to call up slides this would limit monitoring slide contracts other than twice a year at roster submission and the trade deadline

If that's the spirit of what our rule is going to then I'm good with that.

An archive subforum in transactions and waivers would also be nice.

^ That I agree with. I try to lock the old threads but it would be nice to just keep that forum clean with only the threads from the current year. Archive forums are good for reference...a la the draft forums.

Dave mentioned that bye weeks for non play off teams would allow us to view stats as we normally would during the season.

Would it be possible to enable this?

it would just make the matchup tab quite a bit messier. Not that I'm the most caring type of guy or anything like that I just think it would irritate the playoff teams trying to view their matchup lol

I'd like to request that Kapg and I play on the final week of the 2015/2016 regular season, please.

First and final would be awesome.

Yes, we are toying with Fantrax atm on how to set it all up. Once we figure that out were going to wait for the real nhl schedule to release in the summer. We will then tweak it for our playoffs, removing home at homes so you dont play the same team twice in one week, etc. It's a process but it's on going.
