You know bbkl is a good fantasy hockey league if the people that quit can't stay off the forum.

Re: Buffalo/Nashville
I'm not sure if you guys noticed but my team smells like ass hole. That 1st is worth Gretzky's first-born
Re: Buffalo/Nashville
just saying
TO BUFFALO:
Matt Puempel
Patrick Maroon
2014 1st Rounder (SJS)
TO SAN JOSE:
Chris Higgins
that is what you got for Chris higgins.....
now I know your first is way more valuable blah blah blah but so is brad richards. This trade has veto written all over it. I really hope you don't get discouraged Phion as I think you will be a great GM in this league and believe me you aren't the first to be making these mistakes. I'd call out Mik for him taking advantage of a new gm this much, but judging by previous talks he probably does think this is fair value for assets he owns.... It isn't and should be reviewed imo.

i may look dumb to you, to me instead it's this thread looking like a hypocrisy party.Arian wroteCOLONlol mik you're a good guy but you look dumb trying to make this deal seem good
We have a guy who (despite inheriting a better team) used the exact same strategy Phion's using, calling Phion out for that. LOL
We have guys who enjoyed the fact the trade-buddy system was not always applied in the past who are invoking the trade buddy despite the fact it was applied this time around and the period had expired.
When i entered this league and witnessed some real rapes i was told this league doesn't do vetoes (that's how some teams could become absolute powerhouses here), unless the deal is obviously against fair purposes (like someone quitting giving away assets to his favourites), now old tenure GMs are calling for vetoing a trade Phion might very well eventually win for what we can know now.
When i entered this league i found 'monopolies' (absolutely stacked teams) and zero assets teams.. a team like Detroit in one year since the league start had already been raped of anything worthy by guys like Kareem, Scott and others. Me and Scott inquired about the possibility of introducing some sort of feee agency process to give new GMs inheriting teams with no worthy assets to work with a chance to improve their teams in reasonable timeframes (instead of a number of years). We were told that would never ever happen, and Kareem was of course the most aggressive guy around defending his 'monopoly' lol. Now he says BBKL promotes monopolies for the simple reason i made a trade he doesn't like? funny to see his frustration growing further even when he's not in the league anymore.
Guys calling me out for making this trade whereas they gladly were rapers in the past (i don't think i ever was among the ones making trades during the first week/s of a newcomer tenure.. that's probably because i wasn't bombarding them with offers as soon as they stepped into the league)
Meanwhile, for all we know Etem alone might turn out to be as good as Pacioretty, which is all Phion paid to get Richards, LOL.
And maybe we should go back and check what a top 5 pick landed on draft day in past, lesser drafts?

oh, this thread makes me smile for sure.Mike wroteCOLON Smile, enjoy the fact that you won the shit out of a trade, and move on.
As for the trade, i'll wait and see what happens in the future with the assets i gave away (albeit BUF 1st in my hands wouldn't be a top pick).
I'll actually cheer for Etem to succeed and Phion to make the most out of his picks.
Thread would become even more entertaining..
Re: Buffalo/Nashville
it's not veto-worthy imo.. b rich is overrated.. etem is good i know phion didn't get the best of this deal but imo it's not as bad as you all shaped. And there were bigger payments before just for getting their own picks back

This isn't as bad as most are making it out.
Imo I think a lot of guys arre just worried that the buffalo team will be broken down to a point where there is no return.

I went from having 1 1st to having 6 or 7 in the first round ('13 + '14) while gaining some really good prospects in Etem, Rielly, Collberg, Lander, etcFair Deals Steve wroteCOLONThis isn't as bad as most are making it out.

Its not like my team was good enough to contend this year, why not rebuild? Do this shit right.

Mik, it's a simple case of I got mine, now fuck you. See the baby boomers in the US as an example.

Re: Buffalo/Nashville
So far your deals haven't been too bad. Just ask a couple of opinions before you pull the trigger on a big player.
Ask any of me, shep, billy, or mike and we'd give you an honest opinion on any deal(s) u make!

Re: Buffalo/Nashville
Yeah I wouldn't call this veto worthy, but we all know Phion could have gotten alot more for what he gave up. All of us that didnt start during the leagues inception got raped. Theres a number of deals I did when I first joined in week 7 that I completely regret now. But thats how we all learn value in this league, by screwing up some big deals...getting flamed....then never making the same mistake again.
