I 'love' when GMs resort to the essentiallys and basicallys to break down their cycles.. usually it's a way to feel better about their deals and forget about some pieces they lost in the process.
canuckspk wroteCOLON Knew I would get this, from you at least, check some research on hackett/kuemper, I now have argguably the best, or one of the best, goalie systems age/performance. Basically minnesota goalies + ennis for hamilton philly goalies bennett panik 2nd
ehm, actually i still own Johan Gustafsson, and tbh i can't see why you had to trade Harding in this deal.. he is still with Minnesota after all, did he make 100% clear he won't resign there? i know common sense suggests he will sign elsewhere, but what if Backstrom is traded this Summer, for example..

Kezia wroteCOLONI essentially traded a 15th overall pick for:

Steve Mason
Mark Dekanich
Josh Harding
Dougie Hamilton
Beau Bennett
Richard Panik
Niklas Jensen
2012 2nd CAR
may you link the trades that led to that swap?
Cause it seems unlikely you only lost a 15th overall pick to get that stuff (could still be a great cycle, just trying to get the real picture. Speaking of which, it would certainly help having the 'who gave what' exact stuff in the thread starter, especially given the dimensions of the deal).

I essentially traded a 2013 6th rd pick (LAK) for:

Sidney Crosby
Steven Stamkos
Alexander Ovechkin
Evgeni Malkin
Erik Karlsson

And then traded them all for what's left of my current roster. Just for fun. I'm actually just great and ballin like that.

My 1st for Pavelec when it was assumed to be top 3 ( which I had no plans of being)
Harding for Mason and Carter Camper
acquired Pasquale , Carrozzi and Wentzel in minor prospect deals.
Reacquired the first at 15th overall
Now 3rd overall

I didn't trade Harding, Josh did.

I trade Hamilton, Bennett, car 2nd and Panik to Lee
Josh traded Minnesota system (excluding Bakstrom) + Jensen + Mason + Dekanich... Minnesota system excluding harding to me...... Jensen, Harding, Mason, Dekanich to Lee
Lee traded WPG system + TBL 2nd to Josh

Does that clear things up?

Actually, that's still a confusing way to present the info.
