That's notably OT there Steve, but Mario probably does count as a moody euro, but that team was built on sheer # of moody mofo's + Ron Francis. It worked when they were having fun.

Mario is the best looking NHL'er of all time, hence the pic....he's more Canadian than all of us put together!

Nick wroteCOLONLOL he played well in one series versus a non-gritty team; if it was on his back they lost to PHI.

Well, time to congratulate Steve for the easy 1st round win!

Really a solid performance, and when the #1 seed provides that there are usually not many chances left for an upset.
So that actually works as consolation, as i wouldn't have had chances even if Diaz, Kubina and Bonino didn't fall to injuries during the week.

I had a subpar week offensively, peripheries hurt by injuries, and my FW domination stopped all of sudden as Zubrus and Johansson shifted to the wing, but when you lose 3 goalie stats despite registering GAA=1.47, SV%=.953 and 3W, you know there is not much you could do.
The last minute deadline trade actually worked out great, but Bryzgalov's heroics were wasted by the Blues duo, a nightmare to face these days (facing CLB twice helps).
We'll see if they will keep it up, i guess stupid Glencross won't :)

Anyway, too bad i couldn't make it at least more interesting and good luck the rest of the way!

eh eh, i tried, but actually, on Sunday the best best case scenario would have been losing 9-7.. so your Win was clearly guaranteed well in advance.

After such a run-up to reach the playoffs despite the horrible start, it kinda felt like my team was a bit worn out lol.
Still, my week wasn't that bad as looking at the WC matchups i see it would have been enough to defeat 3 of the other 7 teams: Colorado, San Jose AND Columbus (that swept COL lol).

It sucks going out now that some fresh legs were ready to help, with Schlemko apparently close to come back and Zucc&Omark finally called up, but the 3rd year has always been the plan so i guess that's when i have to expect my team to be a contender.
