Also, if you don't have the cap space to claim a player you must make the space immediately after a successful claim or it will be denied.
probably a dumb question but.. define immediately? i mean, a GM could be away the day when the player gets assigned to his team..
is there a limit to the available time to make room?
I believe the NHL gives managers a 12-24 hour window, correct me if I'm wrong admins.
that's immediately around here. 12 hours.

guys..
how can a man who could be away for those 12 hrs (especially considering there is the night in between) manage that?
he should not be forced to waive someone else before being sure his claim is successful... what about making that window a little longer?

If you know you're going to be making a claim either have the space available or realize you might need to be online to fix your roster..

what would be the downside of having a 24hrs window?

Does everyone have to argue everything? It's 12 hours and that's that.

why so touchy?
strict rules usually have reasons to be strict.. i don't see anything wrong asking for explanations.
That doesn't change the fact i will stick with what is decided (12 hrs in this case).

I'm not "touchy" (your Uncle probably was when you were 11). I just hate having to justify every ruling..

i quoted/asked Mike.. since you hate 'justifying' you could have stayed away from my question; with your answer you make it sound like there is no reason to make the rule so strict
