Who the hell needs 80 roster spots?

considering the NHL limit was 90 and most of them had the 50 signed-pro slots filled (+ juniors..), i guess the answer is most NHL teams?

I'm at 78 on the roster with 13 picks but there are definitely candidates to be dropped. I think most of us hang onto extra crap just because we can. Now that we're getting to the limit, it'll lead to more drops of hopeless prospects.

They have AHL and some, ECHL teams to fill out and keep competitive.

With whose first? I didnt know they landed another 1st. Shinkaruk will surprise people with how high he goes. Iss has him at 13, he is top 10 on most other lists. I am taking him at 8 and was planning on taking him at 7 when i had that pick. Maybe i am biased because i have watched him play a lot during the whl and for team canada at the u18s. He stood out every game in both showcases. He is who i have wanted since landing phx pick.

I dont see him going later than 14th in the nhl draft. Too much raw skill. Reminds me of skinner.

Horvat is too hot right now, he goes right around shinkaruk. Rychel and Lazar are realistic though. Funny, I called lazar as early as I called Ryan Nugent-Hopkins as the number 1 overall pick...lol....I still hope that team depth is the reason that Lazar did not progress how I thought but I could easily have been wrong on him. Called both at age 16 lol. 1 for 2 isn't bad I guess lol.
