Sounds lovely.
Especially for someone who seems so concerned about the feelings of GMs that might feel screwed by us not using the NHL lottery in the first place.

Even waiting for that info from June 26th till the start of the play-in round (our scheduled lottery date) might not entirely prevent that ugly scenario.

I think that’s much better than the NHL results ending up working for our format and everyone always looks back and says we were dumb for overthinking this.

I think that’s much better than the NHL results ending up working for our format and everyone always looks back and says we were dumb for overthinking this.

I will propose the CC to run a public vote to pick between the available options. So far we only have two. And personally, as long as the alternative is that potential shit-show I'm going to vote for the safe route that the CC announced.

But based on the last few days the CC members who have chimed in seem to be on board with staying with the announcement while besides Jordan and myself a couple others are on the side of following the NHL and then follow the CC plan of doing our own if their results don't work for us.

This release today SOUNDS like they will be telling us which assigned ball a-h will win each spot if one of the bottom 8 teams wins it, as they need to remove all balls assigned to say, the 10th seed, to make the odds correct for the second drawn ball and third drawn ball, as the odds change with each selection.
