Yah, if you don't know what you're doing in excel please ask me to sort your list for you once you input the rest of your guys.

Guys some suggestions from me:

1. Make sure your players, salaries, birth dates and GPs are correct.

2. Roles:
C1-C4 for Cs. If you have a 5th C, assign a W spot
W1, W3, W5, W7 are the LW spots
W2, W4, W6, W8 are the RW spots
If you have a 7th D, assign it the W8 spot

3. In the "REL" column, you are supposed to list anyone who is going to be on your IR. If you put REL1 in that column, the cap of the player on LTIR won't count towards your cap.

4.In the same "REL" column, put "Active" beside players you have on your active roster and "Extra" as players on your bench. Then Select Columns A-I and at the top of Google Docs go to Data > Sort Range... > Check off "Data has a header row" > Sort by Column B "A-Z" > Click Sort. This will sort put all your active players at the top.

5. Change the order of the spreadsheets (this is a matter of preference) at the bottom. Right now if someone clicks the link, your Picks sheet opens up first. Instead click and drag the Roster Submission sheet to the far left so that it is the first sheet people see.

Down with the first two points

Point 3/4: it's there so you can add LTIR replacements (not the actual player on LTIR, but the replacement), but if that's how you want to sort it go nuts. I made the default sort priority:

1. C - W - D - G
2. Waiver eligibility
3. Cap hit
4. Age

Point 5: I'd prefer if people didint move their sheets around so we all have: [picks] [submission] [week 1] .... [week 5]

Google docs went ape shit shen I tried to open on my phone ... not sure why. I'll see what it does later when I can get on my laptop.

Care to explain how to sort the left side? From what I see as my options on google doc's I cannot tell it to sort C-W-D-G

You're right, google docs prob doesn't allow for sophisticated sort functions. I created this in Excel proper and a bit of functionality was lost in the translation to google docs.

That said you can still have tiered sorting, but not my preferred method.

Done. Pretty spiffy there, Michael. This should help quite a bit ... especially with lackadaisical GMs.
