Blues GM wroteCOLONZero desire to work out a deal. I'd rather overpay than fight tooth and nail to trying to save pennies in assets.
And to some, offering a 1st for a backup is a lowball

PROVEN ROSTER PLAYERS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>any pick less than 1st round. Even past halfway of first round is a crapshoot.

Fair. There is a difference between thinking an offer is insufficient and simply not wanting to do it.

I don't agree with the value, but the league set the price ... I had to fucking do it twice. I hate tandems now ...

Tandems (or goalie systems) at least allows you to get a full 82 games from your goalies without going over. I just don't think that every backup goalie should be considered the same value because some are better (or younger) than others. A guy like Greiss being traded for a mid-1st is reasonable...definitely wouldn't want to pay more than that though if it was me.
Trading Khabibulin was a luxury for me because I was convinced he was either going back to Russia or just retire all together. I wasn't about to play games with Anton...I just wanted to add a guy that can go in my lineup instead of just taking a 2nd or 3rd round pick. Crabb is on a 2-year deal and looks like he's a 4th line option in Florida. It's hard to get teams to cough up roster players for next to nothing.

Heard Theodore wants back in FLA or he'll retire, Clemmonson making so much money being the holdup there.
