Not surprising - Just another deal where Mike pays nothing from his roster.

Yeah I'm not gonna try to defend this one. Curious to see what people think - especially Shoalzie.

It's a pretty solid investment...he'll be a nice option to shuttle in and out of your lineup when needed. He'll obviously be waiver exempt next year as well as he's signed for multiple years at a very cheap cap hit. He's a little light in the offensive numbers but he'll well in periphs. In terms of late 1st round investments, the Kostka move has at least played out well for Paul...solid periphs and he's got 7 points. To me, that's a better swap of a 1st because we've seen more of Kostka.

It bodes well for me if anyone wants to ask me about Eric Gryba...comperable (or better) numbers if you extrapolate all 3 guys' numbers over a full 82 games. Gryba would flirt with 200 blocks/200 hits/200 SHTOI. He had 5 hits/5 blocks/4.4 SHTOI yesterday against the Flyers. I'd be well within my right to ask for mid-to-late 1st round value if this going to be the market for it. That being said with the unstable state of my defense, I'm not trading away any reliable players right now.

it's less likely Mike would have drafted someone i have interest for.. whereas Pete will very probably draft someone that i like.
