i dont know why steve would come out in front of the media and say we're close. we are close on some issues but still far apart on many others.
ive left him a voicemail to let him know i turned down the offer.

i'll be calling back soon to see if we can meet in the middle on this.
might need to call in the lawyers for this last part, take a look over the framework of this deal.
