lol, these two examples relate to different situations, so i'm not sure how they should make Josh feel better about his case..

on the other hand a 5th is not a big deal..

Anything lower than a 3rd Round pick is completely useless. I'd rather have Repik in Europe than a 4th Round pick.

it's unfortunate Shep doesn't have in fact any 4th or later picks, otherwise we would have an easy rescue-deal

And I wouldn't talk too much about Greasy, you're easily the greasiest GM in this league, i'm not sure how many times you've asked my opinion on a trade where you were trading a hurt player to a GM who didnt know, and thinking you were being a 'smart' or outsmarting the other GM.

What goes around comes around, and ya, Karma will probably get me and one of my better players will probably retire or run to the SEL or something......

whatever, i tried to do this to SHEP, and not because i don't like Shep (he's easily my fav), but because i wanted to outsmart Shep and make fun of him for making a stupid trade....LOL

Lets put all the cards on the table shall we. Both guys carry fault here. If Steve thinks he can convince us he didnt know...well that would be lunacy. Steve: you're not an idiot, you keep up with NHL news like the majority of us....dont treat us like idiots lol...We all know that without the knowledge that Repik was running overseas he'd be worth more than a 5th rounder. Steve damn well knew and asked for something he knew a GM without that knowledge couldnt refuse.

I got the same offer and was extremely tempted. But when I saw such a low asking price alarm bells went off and made me ask myself why so cheap? Thats where Josh failed, even running out the door he should have asked himself why a prospect with Repik's potential and trade value was going for only a 5th. Then he should have either looked up said info, or told Steve he'd have to get back to him when he had the time to do so.

Underhanded move by Steve but Josh is a good enough GM to know better. Now lets all stop with the tampon fight and move on.

i will eventually give josh something back...gosh....last summer i traded two players away that eventually retired; thus, i gave active (good) players back to these GM's for free.


I wanted to do this to a buddy of mine (in this league) so i could make fun of them; however, they were all too smart and knew about Repik....if you got an offer on Repik for a 5th from me (chuck, shep, billy, shiv, kyle (kapG) ) it's because i like you and wanted to make fun of you, and it's not like i woudln't repay the pick eventually, gosh people, get over it, it's a damn 5th and i will eventually pay this back LOL

I don't care enough about this. I just find it hilarious that people are making such a big deal out of a 5th.

I remember paying a mid 2nd round pick for Repik last season, and he played about 7-8 games for me and pretty much didn't put up any stats. Now THAT'S trolling.
