Easy now, throwing out accusations like that. Pavlec is solid for sure, and makes me better. But giving up those goalies wasn't something I was completely comfortable with either. Hackett has shown he can play at a high level in the AHL and NHL Kuemper is on his way. Michalek and Endras are no duds either. What Peter gave to Lee was nothing to do with me either, they negotiated it all on their own as either of them will tell you.....

Knew I would get this, from you at least, check some research on hackett/kuemper, I now have argguably the best, or one of the best, goalie systems age/performance. Basically minnesota goalies + ennis for hamilton philly goalies bennett panik 2nd
Actually, ask Josh how much I know about MIN goaltenders. Doesn't change the fact that you gave up Hamilton for a bunch of long shots. Just awful. With Hamilton, I coild have grabbed Vokoin from Scott later on. You basically got played by Josh and gave him Pavelec.
Ennis > Hamilton
Minnesota System >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Philadephia tandem

I'm fine with it

I root this deal back to origins for me I traded philly tandem, raymond, setoguchi, 2013 first for Ennis, Eaves, Minnesota System. Raymond > Eaves.. Ennis > Seto.. Minnesota goalies > a 1st and philly tandem

I essentially traded a 15th overall pick for:

Steve Mason
Mark Dekanich
Josh Harding
Dougie Hamilton
Beau Bennett
Richard Panik
Niklas Jensen
2012 2nd CAR

Very underrated return for Pete, and rightfully so, he'll get an earful. He stated his own reasoning for this deal and only time will be able to tell.

Amonth ago, you werent shy in calling Kuemper a long shot and offering.me.next to nothing for him until we made our ANA/MIN swap.

Call me crazy but as a young team Id rather have Kuemper + Hackett than a 35 year old Vokoin. oh oops I mean Vokoun :)

I'm trying to following the goalie dominoes here...

Pete essentially has the Minnesota depth chart with the exception of Harding but he's a UFA this summer.
Josh is in a much better place with getting Winnipeg's depth chart...he had the mutt goaltending but has pretty stable duo now.
Lee inherits said mutt goaltending situation with Mason and Harding but he'll probably be able to piece together a duo depending on where Harding ends up and Mason still has another year left on his current deal with the Jackets.

Pavelec was only ever a stop gap while waiting for Desjardins. I have a crappier stop gap now which helps with what I am trying to accomplish next year with an off chance that Sieve Mason doesn't suck next year and increases his value. + Harding to whatever team and the potential of Deks backing up Sieve.
