Braden Holtby

Holtby played his 22nd game of the season on Friday:

so, despite the shortened lockout season, 2013 2nd Rounder (DAL) comes home.

Deal has been sent to Bergey on CBS.

do we usually do those deals when the condition was offered by a previous GM?

i know other conditions have been voided because thus GM has been removed/quit.

Was just about to say. I think If it is in a deal like this, it is different than a bet...

i know i've had deals with frank, then he was booted, and thus condition was removed from that trade.

I've lose 5 assets in deals because that GM was removed/quit

now i'm not complaining, all the conditions were picks between the 2nd - 5th rounds (and Brent Johnston), so nothing major, but i always assumed the condition only matter as long as that GM wasn't removed from the bbkl.

My line of thinking is in the real NHL, if a GM is replaced; the conditions of any deal still stay in effect. That being said if its a bet then yeah the new owner shouldnt be held responsible for the bet of the previous GM.

If this is true, we should stay consistent. Lol I'm so happy I'm not part of the CC.

now, i'll have to admit, my situation went to the CC and i just said i'd waive all the conditions to help the new GM(s) with their teams.

completed deals are completed deals, picks traded under conditions are not moveable assets even if traded by a previous GMs. In fact Bergey still has the pick.

I doubt Bergey would rather keep that 2nd rounder and give back Holtby, who he wouldn't own today without that pick being traded back then.

Fair Deals Steve wroteCOLONi know other conditions have been voided because thus GM has been removed/quit.
that is for picks conditioned to bets, not for picks traded under conditions.

Mik is correct.

We clarified conditions allowed in a trade, & froze conditioned assets, one of the reasons for doing so was to actually make them enforceable.

Bets are between GMs, trades are between teams.
