CC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waiver draft date change
Re: CC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waiver draft date change
Its a correction party. With that said, if a team is in violation does the CC automatically waive a player to make a team compliant? Does the team get a reminder to immediately drop a player even though the free drop is over?

Re: CC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waiver draft date change
Let's say a team is at 64 players before the draft and drafts 4 guys but has a UFA on the roster...do they have to drop that player before they draft that final player? The first deadline for freely dropping any contracted player. If you're still holding a UFA or multiple UFAs and the number waiver draft picks put you over 67, do you have to make the drop immediately or do you have until the OFFICIAL roster deadline?
Re: CC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waiver draft date change
The max 50 contracted player rule would still take precedence over any other rules would it not?

I would assume that at least goes into affect by the final roster deadline day.
I'm probably going to carry at least one UFA into the season (Dumont)...if I was to carry 50 contracted players and then Dumont signs, do I have to make sure I shed a contracted player before the next week?
Re: CC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waiver draft date change
once again, you can't be over 67 starting with the Waiver draft, and UFAs count for that matter as much as contracted players..Shoalzie wroteCOLONLet's say a team is at 64 players before the draft and drafts 4 guys but has a UFA on the roster...do they have to drop that player before they draft that final player? Re: CC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waiver draft date change
Sorry with all the questions...just exploring my options.
I'm going to prune a lot of dead weight off the roster before Tuesday and I'll be able to safely absorb who I can in the waiver draft so this won't even be an issue. I just want to know for sure if keeping extra UFAs beyond Tuesday is a wise (or legal) idea.
I remember from last year...you can't re-draft a guy that you dropped before the waiver draft, correct?

i can't see how that would be relevant after my previous answerShoalzie wroteCOLON I remember from last year...you can't re-draft a guy that you dropped before the waiver draft, correct?

Re: CC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waiver draft date change
It's more of a question of if you drop a guy and they happen to be the best player still available in the waiver draft.
I'm just asking questions...not testing authority or anything.

Re: CC ANNOUNCEMENT: Waiver draft date change
Hmm... Although a technicality, I don't believe you should be able to claim your own drop.

IIRC, we weren't allowed to in the past.Nick wroteCOLONHmm... Although a technicality, I don't believe you should be able to claim your own drop.
