Think of it this way....

Waiver draft picks have actual value and picks allocated for each team and like the entry draft, the roster rules to don't apply during the draft.

To make a free agent claim is a voluntary roster move much like making a waiver claim.

I understand I just think if you're going to select a contracted player in the waiver draft you should be under the limit. That way you release contracts you don't want that can be added to the waiver draft pool. Tbh I think all drops should be done before the waiver draft (at least moving forward)

I tend to agree

I think that was the rule for a while until it was loosened up because of roster submission. We can do some digging for when that was actually changed...I honestly can't remember when we actually changed the contract drop rule.

Waiver picks>>>>>>mid/late Entry picks

Half my team has been built in the waiver draft

This waiver draft concept is very underrated/undervalued in this league. Some clubs would just assume throw their picks away for throw-away draft picks but then again, not everyone is doing the same amount of prep work.

Very soon, sir. I have my one week prototype created and set up how I want it. I just need to duplicate them and have them reference their respective week on my grids.

The data entry version of the sheet will be ready early this week. I'll try to have the mobile version ready in the next week or so.

The temporary offseason sheet and the updates have been posted here:
http://bbkl.ca/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17068

I do still plan to do a Zoom/screencast tutorial of the sheets to answer potential questions. It'll look very similar to last year's. I'll run down the new features when I release it.

It was changed to roster submission since that was the date to have a legal roster. If we said it was last week and we couldn't drop players right now then GMs could just leave a player off their roster submission which is the exact same thing as dropping them.

Remember guys, it's only an 8-hour clock on all waiver picks. Chuck's time has expired. Arizona is on the clock...I sent him a message.
