Y'all are out of your minds. It was a predatory, unnecessary hit that served no other purpose than intent to injure. I am surprised the NHL actually had the balls to suspend a player of Scheifele's caliber though. Honestly, I still don't think 4 games is enough.

It's playoff games though. 4 is quite severe for a first offender in the playoffs.

Petry blind side hit Galchenyuk in the head in OT in game 6 and didn’t even get fined. I feel like they were punishing the injury more than the hit itself. It wasn’t a head shot and if he just destroyed him but Evans landed on his back and popped right back up I think the conversation would be different. If Galchenyuk laid on the ice and was stretchered off does that mean Petry’s hit was now more suspendable? Suspensions have been a joke all year though and I have no idea what to expect anymore.

Tbh...the NHL is a joke as a whole. From suspensions, to officiating to the marketing of the game and it’s superstars...it’s amateur hour compared to every other major professional sport.

Funny cuz if u follow basketball at all they say the same thing about their own officiating lol

But yeah, marketing isn't great. But does it make sense to market hockey to inner city poor kids anyway? They can't afford to play the game.

I think I fall along the lines of I understand why it warranted a suspension but I think 4 (playoff) games is very steep. The Jets season is in the balance over this decision...I'll be fascinated to see how they respond tonight.
