Matthew wroteCOLONIs it against the rules for every team with cap space to make a "no one makes or takes any offers from teams over the cap for the purpose of cap reduction until one day before roster lock" pact?

Asking for a friend.
That would violate all sorts of anti-trust laws in real life and collusion rules in fantasy, so yes.

Gotta prove it, first

this is fantasy hockey. What's to say we (with tons of cap space) just refuse to deal with teams over the cap. No rules again that....that all being said, it wont happen. This is the time of year we all look forward too. Lots of movement!

Bruyns wroteCOLONProbably OK value if it was going to another GM even though I think that 2019 1st might be higher than Billy thinks. I do agree that Mik gets bailed out quite often when other GMs have leverage even if he wants to spin it like he didn't have cap problems he definitely did. Unless there is a bidding war for his players which can happen it would be nice to see GMs be more strategic knowing who they are dealing with and knowing they are helping them out by letting them cut cap. Seems like every time I've had to cut cap in a league it's difficult and I get a bunch of lowball offers and Mik always seems to get at least fair value or more.
Mik is a good GM. Knows how to get into peoples head to get what he wants.

it's the same group of guys. I'd say if we were all in a class together (say Highschool). Mik is the smart kid who trades his tuna sandwich with the slow kid who brings prime-rib.

It's the same group of guys trading prime-rib for tuna, some guys will never learn leverage. Can't fault Mik, he's being smart.

Most prime rib sandwiches are fake ribs anyway

You don't send a kid to school with a prime rib sandwich...they don't appreciate stuff like that. They eat tuna fish or bologna or turkey or PB & J. You leave the good food for the adults.

well, I'd take Lobster over prime-rib, but I'm not trading either for Tuna.

TT for Kuz - save 5mil in cap, production is similar

Why settle? Get the lobster and the prime rib.
