Wouldn't you rather a new gm be too tight with his assets than too loose and ruin his team? That's the point of having an advisor.

I traded away so many picks and prospects when I joined, looking at my transactions I had 50+ trades in my first year here, Doesn't matter if you are loose with your assets as long as you make good trades and good cycles. Obviously depending on the team you inherit the situation can be different since even if you managed to make 50 trades after taking over ANA they still would likely be in rough shape.

I meant loose as in losing value in every trade. Not loose as in making a ton of trades.

Reminds me of everyone jumping on the last Devils GM for trading Graves away for nothing. I think Graves is better, but easily could bust like this Bertilsson guy.

Any confirmation re: Waiver Draft?

Also, did we finalize waiver eligibility this year? Age and GP for skaters and goalies?

As trades are about to re-open, here are the parameters for waivers eligibility in the 2016/2017 BBKL season:

Skaters will need to have played max 120 NHL regular season games AND to have yet to turn 26 as of October 1st to be waiver exempt throughout the starting BBKL season.
Goalies will need to have played max 60 NHL regular season games AND to have yet to turn 26 as of October 1st to be waiver exempt throughout the starting BBKL season.

However, an exception is made for players who have yet to play a single NHL game. Those players will be exempt to waivers even if already 26 yrs old.


In bold what's new for the upcoming season.
For example, this would have made S.Moses and Kemppainen (both drafted in the 2015 BBKL Waiver draft) exempt for their first NHL season, like they were indeed this season for the NHL.
