I like bernier too - think he's a very skilled puckstopper rather than just a size and angles guy! But definitely replaceable. As much as we sucked last year, he seemed to follow the rest of the team being good when the team was playing well and inconsistent when the team wasn't on top of its game. Think he can be a top 15 tendy in the league though with some consistency in front of him.

Solid numbers... never seen him play. AHLer or gets a shot in the show?

Agent is denying reports and saying he is staying in KHL for another season.

Zaitsev was the top Dman on CSKA, which led KHL regular season in points and had by far the least goals against. Also led KHL D in PP goals and was a first team KHL all star.

Only 23 so he seems to be a good addition. Probably starts the year in the Marlies maybe paired with Valiev, but if we move Phaneuf and don't get an NHL D back there is likely spots available on the Leafs.
