Yup.. it's been a good 1st round. I'm barely holding on but I knew that would be the case since being at a big GP disadvantage and playing with 5 Dmen all week too. I'm cheering for Topher going in to today! Good luck man..

Why? To see the 8th place team have a great week to upset the favourite would be exciting.. I'm not bullshitting at all.. I don't care if I win or lose tbh..

Kareem had 15 points tonight + strong secondary stats... no tending thank god.
I really should have won this match-up...4 goalie games played, and I couldn't get two or three wins, and because of it I will lose.

I agree Kareem, top seed just simply winning seems full retard to me as well. Its obviously too late for this year but I say lets change it for next season. I kind of like the Idea of GWG as the tie breaker. Yes its a crap shoot from week to week but GWG's always seem to be massive and dramatic in the playoffs and rewarding the team who had players step up and win for their teams seems like a decent way to decide a week to me. I will do some brainstorming though and come up with some more options.
Well said.

I am in one hell of a tight one. This can really go any way. I am fucked losing 3 players to injury. Nikitin, Whitney and Stafford. Chuck is so close in every cat. plus minus, BS, shtoi, could be the difference maker as well as STPTS. I lost every single goalie cat. If i tie Chuck after tonight i will be some impressed. Not looking good. Tough battles all around.

Kyle tends to exaggerate facts, I've noticed that about him.

lol, sry, I meant Hits. I am not up on every single stat from every player usually, like you Kareem. But i think I may need to bring out the calc tonight. I am flirting with the edge on more than a few categories. Its too bad Chuck hasn't checked in much. Would have been a bit funner considering the intense battle we have going on. Carey Fucking Price is BEAST.

Our matchup went form 8-6-2 when I went to sleep to 11-3-2 when I woke up.

Apparently the stats that don't update right away were huge advantages for me.

At this point I'm set unless Spezza and Teemu can pull 5 more blocks than Sekera and Korpikoski. Sekera already has 1, so make that 6.

At the risk of speaking too soon, I think I've got this nearly sealed up.

Edit: another option would be him making up 9 +/-.

Coming down to the wire to see who I'm playing. I've beaten Topher (almost guaranteed.. about 99%), epic 1st round battle too. I could be playing Chuck (doubtful, Kyle should hang on), Kareem (looking likely at this point), or you Mikey..

EDIT - If Nick gets a point from Fowler and Ennis & Lydman go pointless the rest of the way, Nick will tie it up. Such a cluster fuck.. some great 1st round battles.

no reason at all to finish 1st or 2nd overall otherwise, yep, it's not even something arguable. If you're clearly gonna win your conference, might as well stopping caring for the rest of the RS => SUCKS.
If I was facing anything but a low seed this week I'd be eliminated! I had a terrible week this week but because of my higher seeding it looks like I will pull through. that's just one example, you can find others going the other way.
If i had finished #7 instead of 6th i would have faced LA instead of STL and right now i would be winning.
if i had finished #8 instead of 6th i would have faced you instead of STL, and would be losing 7-8 instead of 3-11, having a better chance to advance.

like most GWG were real game winners lol.. i can't believe you guys are seriously proposing GWG and SO for a better tie-breaker, yikes.

Exactly. Sorry Nick, can't say I'm not cheering for Kareem at this point...

Nick could also get a shutout to win, btw.

how the fuck are your players back scoring as soon as they face my team?!

27 pts, the most in the conference aside from your 28, plus great G stats... not enough against your team week :|

Congrats on the nice win dude and good luck for next round!
Good to see i was at least able to put up a good challenge almost till the end.
