I could go on and on, but you get the idea. Congratulations: Backstrom makes Kuznetsov's job easy.
Just like Crosby likely does the same for Malkin and Kessler did for Henrik etc. The fact is that most elite C's on contending teams have someone either taking away from or sharing those tough minutes.

There is actually some truth to that in Crosby drags around inferior linemates while Malkin draws easier matchups with better linemates.

If he's so great give Crosby the Phil Kessel's and James Neal's of the world and Malkin the Sheary's of the world oh and have to face the toughest match-ups ;)

Malkin's most common linemates last season were Hagelin and Hornqvist. He did have some time with Kessel but also had a significant amount of time with Bryan Rust

they tried (as always giving Crosby precedence over Malkin) but didn't work out well enough
Malkin the Sheary's of the world oh and have to face the toughest match-ups ;)
or Jason Megna, Brian Rust and company..

my mind also must be fooling me cause I remember guys like Couturier regularly matched up vs Malkin's line rather than Crosby's line, which would suggest that match-up thing applies to both Malkin and Crosby.
