I would agree with that statement.

Brandon should have gone top 5; he's a lock for top 5 IRL... and is the most rounded dman in the draft... insanity that he's falling (even if you have some personal question marks...ask yourself.... are you that much better then EVERY scout)

Gormley is regarded by several scouts as the best of the three, he is the best skater, has the hardest shot, has the best IQ and makes the game look easy. He doesn't make flashy plays, he makes the safe and intelligent play more often than not, and just makes the game look easy. It is simply retarded to argue against him being considered the best of three, is it a lock? No, is is the consensus opinon? No, but it is a valid opinion nonetheless...It is not hard to understand why myself, and Billy, as well as many oher scouts feel this way.

I picked him because he's a Maritimer. oh and he will likely be a franchise D-man for the Islanders...

But really i was hoping to get Nino. I did not want anything to do with Gudbranson, so I am kinda happy that Gormley fell to me but I sure as hell would like to have another pick somewhere in the range of 10-18.

Well i guess the words "franchise Defenseman need to be clarified" It may be tossed around too loosely. When i think Franchise defenseman I think of Pronger, Doughty, Keith, Chara, Lidstrom, Nieds etc. And most recently I personally feel that Meyers is and will be a franchise d-man. Were any of these players forecasted as franchise d-men? What is the main difference between a #1 d-man and a franchise D-man?
